This is the filter paper from a coffee machine, which is used with ground coffee. It is made from paper fibres, each of which is made from finer fibres of cellulose. The paper fibres are closely spaced to prevent the coffee grounds from passing through the filter.

Compare this paper with the paper from a tea bag.
